Spring 2027: New Album!
Well… this is one of the best perks of being a tenured faculty member! I’m incredibly privileged to share that I’ll be on sabbatical for the entire 2026–27 academic year. My project is to compose, practice, arrange, and produce an album of all-original music, which I’ll record in Spring 2027 in a brand new recording studio at Las Positas College in Livermore. JazzWire Summit Napa
I'm looking forward to joining some incredible musicians as faculty for the JazzWire Summit in Napa March 13-15, 2026 at Napa Valley College. Led by Artistic Director Jeff Antoniuk, creator of Digging Deeper Jazz and founder of JazzWire.net , the Summit combines top-tier jazz education with unforgettable wine-country experiences. You’ll study improvisation, theory, and ensemble playing in small groups guided by some of the finest recording and touring artists working today
“So Forth | So On” for String Quartet
Last spring, the inimitable Friction Quartet was in residence at Las Positas College, and gave the World premiere of my String Quartet dedicated to my late father. Check out the performance here.

LA Signal Lab Album “Water and Power”
L.A. Signal Lab is very excited about our newest release of WATER and POWER on Orenda Records! It is available on bandcamp and all major digital stores and streaming services, and features the incredible musicians of HOCKET who perform my “Prelude to Ys” and Aperture Duo .
“Still Life” for Solo Cello
My new work “Still Life” was premiered as part of the Musaics of the Bay “Stay-at-Home Symposium” by cellist Gabriel Cabezas. Check his moving performance out here.
